Our Story

Good honey transcends time, with delectable favorites often passed from generation to generation. Today’s honey connoisseurs for instance will undoubtedly have experienced their first tastes of honey from parents or grandparents, and continued their journey to find us…

In many ways our story is similar. Now in our 4th generation, the honey business has oozed down our family tree, passing from generation to generation. Our great grandfather, a keen beekeeper, in 1947 established a small business producing home harvested honey. Operating from a humble cabin in rural Lancashire, demand soon outstripped what could be produced from our own hives.

Operations expanded as more of the family joined the business and Honeycomb began selecting honey from other local and national beekeepers. With a discernible palate and an appreciation for quality honey, we soon became importers of the world’s finest honey varieties.

Today we continue to import, pack and supply Honeycomb branded honey, sourced from across the globe. We work with both independent partners and larger trade customers to pack and supply honey all over the UK.  Plus, we now offer a range of complementing preserves, biscuits and gifts available to buy online, sourced from selected partners.

generations to come

As a family, we’ve long had a taste for quality honey, and it’s our aim to share this with the next generation. We want to make honey accessible, not only to the enthusiasts, but to newer audiences taking their first taste. We carefully select our honey and complementing produce to offer a diverse range of distinctive flavours. Honeycomb strives to open up a new world of taste to our customers, bringing our family legacy to homes throughout the UK, hopefully for generations to come…
